The evening after the elephant training we decided to get a spa treatment and dinner at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Chiang Mai. This hotel is consistently rated as one of the best hotels in the world and we weren't surprised why. This hotel should be a must see sight for anyone who travels to Chiang Mai. The buildings are more elaborate and well designed than any we saw in the entire city, and entering the premises made us feel like we transported back to an early more magical time in Thailand.
